Jackson Hole Tram Is Back!

With fanfare, fireworks and tons of fresh made-to-order powder, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort unveiled the new Jackson Hole Aerial Tram as a crowd of 2,000 exuberant ski and snowboard enthusiasts celebrated the long awaited return of "Big Red".

Through a blizzard of fresh powder into a crossfire of glowing spotlights, the new tram car's sleek new design was revealed amidst fireworks, driving music, and even a visit from Santa who slid down from one of the new tram cars.

Returning single ski lift access to the longest continuous vertical rise in the United States, this $31 million investment brings one of the most famous ski mountains in the world back to it's rightful place as one of North America's most heralded ski resorts. The new Jackson Hole tram will carry 100 skiers at a time up almost 4,139 vertical feet cresting the Tetons in only 9 minutes and takes the place of an original that ran for 40 years and put Rendezvous Mountain on skiers’ maps.

The new Aerial Tram at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is twice the size of the original, carrying 100 skiers and snowboarders to the snowriding paradise we call Jackson Hole. The sleek, new cabins, and incredible new base terminal only add to the ski experience.

When is your first ride?!?!
